I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have 12 years of counseling experience working with mental heath disorders, eating disorders, and substance use disorders. I take a psychodynamic and Jungian approach that allows for depth therapy. I also use Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills training to promote self-acceptance, non-judgment, and behavior change in the areas of interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, distress tolerance and emotion regulation. My therapeutic approach promotes an environment of acceptance and compassion that over time becomes an increasing internal experience.

I have extensive experience working with eating disorders. I worked in an inpatient facility for eating disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders, alongside years of private practice. I use DBT to build skills and use motivational interviewing to work with resistance, which reveals a person's fears and needs.

As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 12 years of experience with substance use disorders, I offer assessments and counseling for substance use issues. Additionally, I offer assessments and counseling for court ordered situations such as DUIs, DWIs, probation, parole, or individuals who have ASAP/VASAP counseling requirements.
